Vitex berry: Vitex agnus-castus, also known as Chaste berry, is a plant that has been used for wellness purposes for thousands of years. Vitex supports hormonal balance and has an affinity for the female reproductive system. This herb encourages healthy menstrual cycles and supports progesterone balance. Vitex also helps soothe occasional cycle-related discomforts and supports emotional balance during monthly cycles.
Black Cohosh root: Actaea racemosa is most often used to ease cramps and menopausal discomforts such as night sweats, hot flashes, irritability, and sleep disturbances.
Burdock root: Arctium lappa is a powerhouse of nutrients that acts as a free radical scavenger, helping to support the body's natural balance and homeostasis. Burdock may help support the body's natural cleansing processes and waste elimination. It supports hormonal balance throughout natural cycles, making it valuable herbal support during times of hormonal transition such as menopause.
Wild Yam Root: Dioscorea villosa has been used in folk medicine since the 18th century to treat menstrual cramps and various discomforts. The root is most popular for its affinity for the female system, where it influences hormone balances to benefit discomforts associated with menstruation. Wild Yam may influence our hormonal system by supporting the reproductive/endocrine system through healthy inflammatory response and hormone pathways. It may ease menstrual cramps and aid with vaginal dryness in older women.
Mugwort aerials: Artemisia vulgaris supports comfort during menopausal transitions, hot flashes and promotes hormonal balance.
Motherwort aerials: Leonurus cardiaca, the Latin name, means lionhearted. Medicinal use of Motherwort dates back to the Greeks, who gave the herb to pregnant women to help with thoughts of worry and concern. Motherwort has also been shown to support normal menstruation. It's a calming herb and it's said to soothe frayed nerves, and act as a mother's comforting embrace.
Lady's Mantle aerials: Alchemilla mollis offers support for women's health including easing discomforts associated with PMS, cramping and menopausal complaints such as hot flashes and irritability.
Alfalfa leaf: Medicago sativa contains free radical scavengers, as well as nutrients like vitamin K, copper, folate, and magnesium and has been shown to ease symptoms of menopause.
Nettle leaf: Urtica dioica, also known as Stinging Nettle is high in nutrients including Vitamins A, C, K and several B vitamins, Minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium) and all of the essential amino acids.
Holy Basil aerials: Also known as Tulsi or Tulasi, this aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae (mint) is native to Southeast Asia. From the seed to the leaves, Ocimum spp. is considered a tonic for the spirit, mind and body, and can help support healthy inflammatory balance, stress and occasional anxiousness.
